Recently I attended a drum carding workshop where we made some batts to use for spinning. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed the process tremendously.
These are the two I made.

I’ve had a bit of waiting time lately, so my carry along project is coming along well.

Hand-spun sock.
This weekend we had an end of year function. The function was at a butterfly park and so we went a bit early to have a look around. Gorgeous Man made a friend.

This little fellow jumped first into my lap while I was squatting down to take its picture and then leapt onto Gorgeous Man. Gorgeous Girl insisted that she be allowed to get up close and personal as well.

I finally made an appointment with the oral surgeon that my dentist referred me too, and I’m going to be having all 4 of my wisdom teeth out in 10 days time. I’m not looking forward to that. They have to do it under a general anesthetic and the surgeon is predicting 5 days off work for recovery.

Ouch. I have to do that some time but I’m putting it off as long as I can!
I was sure that little creature on your hubby’s shoulder wasn’t real. It’s a cute little thing, but I don’t know what to call it… is it some sort of monkey? Your gorgeous girl is looking pretty laid-back about it all.
Oh! Now I understand why we don’t see many (or any?) photos of Gorgeous Man…because HE IS!!!! teehee
Thanks for sharing!

Good luck with the wisdom teeth surgery!
I hope you recover quickly! Both my kids did really well with theirs as young adults.
The monkey is cute and scary at the same time!
Once you’ve had the teeth removed and have recovered from the surgery, you will be amazed how much better your mouth feels, and how much healthier you feel!
I had one wisdom tooth break, about 15 years ago, and getting the remnant out was not fun! When it was time to wave goodbye to the other three, I did it in two parts: the mate to the first tooth gone, and a little later the other two at a go.
[Some people have little to no difficulty getting them all pulled at once, but I was mildly traumatized as a young child when both of my parents had all of their teeth pulled for dentures (they were smokers).]
I had no trouble with either of the later surgeries, and I hope it goes that well for you.
It’s a shame that the Tooth Fairy doesn’t visit *us* when our wisdom teeth come out.
great pic of J and A. Dislike button on teeth surgery, hope all goes well! The punch you like is a jumbo retro daisy punch and i use it all the time. If you want me to punch an envelope full let me know add colours.
Good luck with your oral surgery. You’ll do fine and be much happier when it’s all done.
What kind of creature/monkey is that? I love those little tufts of fur coming out the sides of its head.
I’ve just caught up on reading your blog. You’ve been working on some lovely things!
You know I love the colours of the bats you did. Serisously any fibres like that (unspun) are great for my mixed media. Will have to get some off you.
