We had a lovely time in Australia over the Christmas break. It was great to be able to catch up with family and friends. I also appreciate that Gorgeous Girl was able to experience aspects of Australian culture that I take for granted, but are, in reality, quite foreign to her. She was very impressed this trip by the “supermarkets giving away free food (the new product demonstrators). We also spent a lot of time in public libraries.
We visited some markets and Gorgeous girl got a glitter tattoo.
This is her pre-hair cut hippy chick look.
She also had a horse ride.
We set up a little corner of our accommodation for Christmas.
The little Christmas tree has stayed in Australia since, in all likelihood, we will be spending Christmas there again next year.
There was much joy at the opening of presents. This one arrived from Grandma.
Lots of lovely craft supplies. She also got craft supplies from her aunty and they have been put to good use already. Picture to follow.
Our internet back here in PNG has been true to form: Unreliable, slow and intermittent (it’s taken me well over an hour to do this blog post…). Hopefully it will stay connected so it won’t be too long before I post again.
