So, about 10 days ago my computer refused to turn on. Wow, that’s a sinking feeling looking at your computer with a black screen and an error message.
Fortunately my data was pretty well backed up on USBs and in the cloud, and some very kind computer-savy friends recovered everything off the hard drive and so although I lost a few pictures and patterns stored on the desktop, no real harm is done.
About the same time our internet died. This took longer to get back as I needed to have service technicians come out and fix it onsite. Hopefully now we are all back up and running.
I need to show you a completed Morris. This pattern is S is for Sheep and is now available for sale on Ravelry.
Face arms and legs are a commercial yarn. Body and back of the head is early handspun. This was a really quick and easy knit.
Another gratuitous shot. Apparently I should not sew ears on late at night, they are crooked. I’m going with the theory that they add charm.
I found quilting quality fabric in a local store 2 weeks ago. This is the first quilting cotton I’ve seen since arriving in PNG 18 months ago. 3 metres came home with me and my project paralysis is over regarding the Very Hungry Caterpillar Quilt as I now have enough white fabric to make the pattern I want.
There’s a few more finished knitted items to share, but Morris deserves his own post, and two of those knitted items need blocking…
I’m slowly catching up on my blog reading, hope to visit you soon.
Morris is adorable and his quirky ears are charming. Glad you got your internet back. My laptop once did that to me, I turned it on and it was a black screen. According to the computer technicians at work, it had crashed! Luckily it was my office laptop so they fixed it for me. I am completely ignorant about all this technical stuff 🙂
