I had an allergic reaction to something this week and ended up with a very nasty red rash on my neck. It didn’t go away and so yesterday I ended up at the clinic. Going to the doctor here is a little different to going to the doctor at home. First you check in with the receptionist and pay the consultation fee (Yes, in advance). They you wait to see the doctor.
The doctor writes you a prescription which you then take over to the pharmacy. In my case the doctor prescribed an injection as well as some tablets. You then give the pharmacist some money and the pharmacist gives you everything you need for the injection (even the needle and alcohol swabs) in a little plastic bag.
Then it’s off to the nurse who jabs you and sends you on your way.
My rash is coming down, which is a good thing because I’ve got 11 people coming for dinner this evening…
