Greetings. I didn’t mean to disappear for over a month, life just got kind of hectic. Since the last post we have had a birthday party for a certain Gorgeous Girl, I’ve turned another year older and the teaching part of the semester has come to an end. Now the marking can begin!

I have managed to sneak in a few stitches here and there. I bought some blocking wires earlier in the year and picked them up when we were in Australia in July. I finally got to use them. I love them.

This is a little scarflette for Gorgeous Girl.

The colour is a little off in this picture, the light is not so grey. Pattern is lacey baktus from Ravelry. I miscounted the amount of yarn I had, so it is not symmetrical.

A close up. Yarn is a handspun single from superfine South African Merino. Dyed by me. Gorgeous Girl tried it on this morning and assured me that it doesn’t itch 🙂

There will hopefully be pictures of her wearing it in the snow in a few months time. We are hoping for a white Christmas (travelling to the USA).

There is another handspun shawl blocking at the moment, so hopefully it won’t be another month before I post again.
